The next two installments of ULB Talks in Linguistics series, UTiL will be held on :
- March 1st, 2024: Our next meeting will be an informal meet-and-greet style session to help familiarize ourselves with other work going on in the department. This session will include several short presentations from various members of the department about their respective research interests.
- April 19th, 2024: a panel discussion on postcolonial linguistics – what it is, how it works, and why it’s important to consider, no matter your subfield.
The talks will take place in DB8.253 (the ACTE room), 14.00 – 16.00, and are open to everyone, from full-time academics to those who are just discovering linguistics. There will once again be plenty of time for discussion in French or English, and coffee and biscuits for everyone.
We hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it in person, the talk will be streamed on Teams (https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3aam4ahYtaHjenIISJTd6qtZmNv1PqQ_nupdIdAnaaetQ1%40thread.tacv2/1706885696997?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%2230a5145e-75bd-4212-bb02-8ff9c0ea4ae9%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%226d941d85-f59e-406f-babb-768da4370691%22%7d), and available online after the fact*
